The Friendly Garden Club will meet as indicated in our By-Laws on the 3rd Tuesday of the month at the Beverly Public Library at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise stated.

The Executive Board will meet on the Tuesday preceding each regular club meeting at the home of the President at 7:00 p.m. unless otherwise stated.

 To be a member in good standing you must meet the following requirements:

     1.  You must attend at least 4 meetings a year.

    2.  Host one meeting a year (provide refreshments or centerpiece).

    3.  Provide flower arrangement for the Beverly Public Library once a

         year.

    4.  Pay your dues by May 31st.

    5.  Work on the Club’s civic projects.

    6.  Participate in all major fund-raising events.

 The following activities are both enjoyable and optional:

     1.  Participate in horticulture project at The New England Flower

         Show.

    2.  Participate in the design, creation and maintenance of a floral

        design for “Art in Bloom” at Boston’s Museum of Fine Arts.

     Mayflower subscriptions are included with your yearly dues. The Mayflower is the official publication of the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts, Inc., published bi-monthly in January, March, May, September and November.

 Horticulture competition held at monthly meetings:

 Horticulture–all horticulture submitted must have been in exhibitor’s possession for at least 3 months unless otherwise noted. We will allow container grown plants to be double potted with outer container to be considered in judging.

 Mornings of Design & Horticulture. Each month the Garden Club Federation of Massachusetts sponsors a “Design Workshop” or “Morning Culture” at The Espousal Center, 554 Lexington Street, Waltham, MA.
